The best sport is bowling! Bowling has no barriers to entry. There are different reasons why people bowl. The sport does not discriminate and one does not need a certain mindset to bowl.
Bowlers can be any shape or size. There is no age requirement. There is no certain skill level required to participate. One does not need to be on a magazine cover or score 1600 on the SAT test.
There is no wrong reason to bowl. If you want to get out of the house, you bowl. If you want to be with people, you bowl. If you want to be alone, you bowl. If you want to be competitive, you bowl. If you want to have fun, you bowl. If you want to be miserable, you bowl. You do not even need a reason to bowl.
The sport of bowling does not discriminate. Bowling pins do not care who tries to knock them down. I have observed people of all genders, races, religions, ages, and looks bowl.
Even people with different attitudes bowl. Eeyore, Piglet, and Tigger bowl together. Oscar Madison and Felix Unger are a doubles team. The Grinch bowls in Whoville Bowl with Cindy Lou Who. Republican and Democratic presidents have bowled.
In summary, bowling is a melting pot. One does not even have to own their own bowling shoes or bowling ball. Have fun if you want or be miserable if you want! Respect people’s differences and BOWL!
