2023 A Year in Review

2023 A YEAR IN REVIEW

While we are excited to welcome 2024, it’s also the perfect time to take a look back at all the great moments we had in 2023. Happy New Year Everyone!

JANUARY

Buddy Allis

Put up a major setback on January 9th in the Al Williams Classic League

Tristan Rauber

Shot his 6th career 300 game on January 12th in the Seventh Ward League

Randy Marmalejos

 Bowled a perfect 300 game on January 21st in the Low Bravos League

FEBRUARY

Junior Bowlers

A big group of our Scholarship Junior Bowlers stayed to practice after their Saturday Morning League 

LED Video Walls

February was an exciting month at Homefield Bowl as we unveiled our new LED Video Walls

Hastings Police Department

The Hastings Police Department Fundraiser back on February 26th is always a big hit!

MARCH

Peter Di Chiara

 Bowled a perfect 300 game and an 801 series on March 2nd in the Bronx Police League

FDNY

A special thanks to Ladder 32 of the FDNY for their visit back in March. 

Junior League Bowling

Matching team shirts is just another bonus of Junior League Bowling. 

Adult Junior Memorial

We hosted The Jo Limekiller Memorial Adult Junior Tournament back on March 24th and it was a huge success!

APRIL

Clint Walker

On April 12th Clint Walker bowled games of 299-243-277 for an 819 series in the Homefield Invitational League!

Sergio Melendez

On April 21st, Sergio Melendez bowled his 1st perfect 300 game in the Mt Carmel 3s League!

MAY

Kelvin Oats

On May 6th Kelvin Oats bowled a 300 in the Los Bravos league.

Bryan Coker

Bryan Coker bowled 300 on May 12th in the Mt Carmel 3s League. 

Brunch & Bowl League

New Friends League

The Sunday New Friends League with lots of happy faces and smiles at the end of their season.

JUNE

Chess & Bowling

During a travel league match back in June, we caught a couple of bowlers playing chess while they were bowling. Not something you see everyday! 

Robby Shine

Robby Shine started off the Summer League Season the right way by bowling a 300 game in the Jo Limekiller Memorial League on June 9th

Clint Walker

bowled another 800 series on June 14th in the Wednesday 3’s League.

JULY

Battle of the Sexes Tournament

On two weekends in July we hosted a Battle of the Sexes tournament which was a lot of fun!

AUGUST

Lane Sharks

On August 9th, the Lane Sharks won the Inaugural Big League Bowling Summer Season!

Emily Casey

Emily Casey bowled games of 278 247 278 for an 803 series on August 10 in the Jo Liemkiller Memorial League

Lowkwong Fillmore

Lowkwong Fillmore bowled his first 300 game on August 23rd in the Wednesday 3s League

SEPTEMBER

Leron Goodman

Leron Goodman started off the 2023 Winter League season with a 300 in the Homefield Invitational League. 

Mike Healy

September 10th we saw the first 800 seires of the 2023-2024 Winter League season. Mike Healy bowled games of 280 269 288 for an 837 series in the Sunday Trios League.

 

Donald Robertson

On September 21st, Donald Robertson bowled games of 279 279 242 for his first 800 series!

 

OCTOBER

Dylan Kowaleski

Dylan Kowaleski bowled a 300 game in the Sunday Morning Trios league on October 8th

Vinny Celzo

Also on October 8th, Vinny Celzo bowled games of 279, 257, and 267 for an 803 series in the Sunday Trios league!

Nick Raiano

Nick Raiano bowled not only a perfect 300 game but also games of 279 and 223 for an 802 series on Sunday October 15th in the Sunday Trios league.

Bronx VA

On October 26th the recreational group from the Bronx VA with William Rios visited us for an event.

Sergio Melendez

Sergio Melendez bowled his 2nd career 300 on Halloween in the Homefield Invitational League.

NOVEMBER

Teri and Bob

Teri and Bob are the 2 most senior league bowlers at Homefield Bowl and we had the chance to catch them together for this awesome picture!

Clint Walker

Clint Walker put up a lot of honor scores in 2023. On November 8th in the Bronx Police League, he bowled games of 258 266 277 for an 801, his 7th career 800.

 

Vets 2 Vets

In Mid-November the Vets 2 Vets group chose us for their recreational outing!

 

DECEMBER

Chuck Lippolis

Chuck Lippolis bowled a 300-game in Interoffice Mixed on December 4th.

Lenny Marrero

On December 9th, Lenny Marrero who is 11 years old bowled games of 162 267 266 for a 695 in our Scholarship Bowling league.

4th JuniorBowling Tournament of the Year

We hosted the 4th JBT of the year on December 17th and caught this aweomse photo of big group of our Junior Bowlers.

On December 16th Mavis Martin who runs the Bea Martin Foundation gifted Michael and Dave Limekiller with these awesome hand crotchets blankets.
